Maria Nowicka (she/her) is a Policy Researcher for the Global Chip Dynamics programme. Her work explores the strategic role of semiconductors in shaping Europe's economic resilience, tech sovereignty, and green transition, focusing on how geopolitical tensions shape supply security and industrial competitiveness. Prior to joining interface, Maria advised industry stakeholders on EU digital policy as a public affairs consultant at FleishmanHillard and gained first-hand insight into tech policymaking as a Blue Book Trainee at the European Commission. She holds a Master of Laws from Ghent University, where she examined the risks and protections introduced by early AI regulation in the context of digital rights.
