Svenja Efinger (she/her) supports the Digital Rights, Surveillance and Democracy program as a student assistant.
She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Political Science at the Free University of Berlin. Her research interests include the intersection of law and politics in the governance of the digital sphere and the resilient institutional design of democracies. In her master’s thesis, she is exploring how democratic resilience is reflected in the EU’s efforts to counter digital authoritarianism.
Prior to joining interface, Svenja worked for a public sector consultancy and completed an internship in the Human Rights Division of the German Federal Foreign Office.
