Dr. Thorsten Wetzling appointed to the Consultative Forum on Fundamental Rights

The Presidential Troika of the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group on Europol appointed Dr. Thorsten Wetzling to serve as a member of the newly founded Consultative Forum on Fundamental Rights. Dr. Wetzling and eight other members will serve in this position until November 2029. The appointment for the duration of a term of the European Parliament is renewable once. Dr. Thorsten Wetzling will seek to work towards strengthening the parliamentary scrutiny of Europol in matters relating to the protection and promotion of fundamental rights in law enforcement.
